With the new season just around the corner Lochner Racing has spent a lot of getting the 90′s Trackmagic kart ready to race as well as preparing a second chassis, a 2008 Birel. The new chassis has a longer wheel base, wider stance, and a larger axle. With these differences we are expecting the chassis to handle much better and provide the best platform for us to continue building our program to the point we need to be at. We also purchased a brand new engine that includes a new flywheel that will officially be released this coming Wednesday. With the unknowns of this new motor there is a lot of questioning about how the reliability will compare to the older flywheel.
With the new chassis and motor, the only thing left to build a winning team is practice. We did not get a chance to practice away from the three winter races over the winter leaving William with a few unknowns about how the track is going to feel during the colder weather.
Upcoming races:
March 10 – Spring Series Race 1 at North Texas Kartway
March 17 &18 – Texas Lonestar Grand Prix
March 31 – Spring Series Race 2 at North Texas Kartway
